Upcycling, recycling: Anyway they’re good

21 Mar

Finding that upcycling and recycling are used somewhat interchangeably although clearly recycling means something that’s discarded put to an entirely different use, upcycling by contrast is souping up something that’s already a faded version of its reincarnated self. Isn’t it?

Anyway the new collection of skirts on Pink Sister demonstrates at least one of these:
New Pink Sister skirts

Blue ‘Flower’ skirts & pink & white ‘Climbing flowers’ skirt with lace trim from unused vintage pillow slips; the lace is vintage – which in this case means my mother has been hoarding it since the 70s; ‘Tulip’ & ‘Sunny garden’ skirts from remnant fabric from a shop in Northcote Road.

Hope you like them – email me to commission different colours, patterns or sizes: pinksister@live.co.uk
